Well-Strung at Proctors

Singing string quartet mixes pop and classical for maximum fun!

The powerhouse singing string quartet Well-Strung comes to Proctors, 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, stopping in Schenectady on a major national tour.

Tickets, $20–$85, are available at the Box Office at Proctors, 432 State Street, Schenectady; by phone at 518.346.6204; and online at proctors.org. A 6:30 p.m. pre-show party, included with ticket price, features vendors, tastings and beverages.

Well-Strung is a string quartet with a modern twist. The group plays universally recognized classical pieces while singing pop music hits from the likes of Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and others for a uniquely engaging experience.

Conceived by Mark Cortale and Christopher Marchant, the foursome formed in 2012 and has since gained international attention. The group has been invited to perform at the Vatican in Rome and at a gala for President Obama.

2016 presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, requested a special performance by Well-Strung after the release of their viral music video "Chelsea's Mom."

The group has appeared twice with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and co-starred in two Christmas concerts at Town Hall in Manhattan with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus.

Well-Strung have also worked with artists such as Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Audra McDonald and Deborah Voigt; and the members were the opening act for Joe Jonas and his band DNCE at Pride Toronto.

Well-Strung at Proctors is sponsored by Shop Rite Supermarkets, Inc.
