Hunt for History and Horses

Presented by the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame will present a unique and family-friendly scavenger hunt called the “Hunt for History and Horses” from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Saratoga Race Course. Teams will tour locations on the historic Saratoga grounds with exclusive postseason access to the track while learning about the history of thoroughbred racing and its connection to Saratoga Springs.

Afterwards, there will be pony rides, a petting zoo, crafts and refreshments available. Following the scavenger hunt and activities, free admission will be offered to all scavenger hunt participants at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame throughout the day.

Event at a glance:

Time: Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.; Scavenger Hunt & Activities from 10 a.m. to noon

Location: Saratoga Race Course (267 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs)

Note: In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the National Museum of Racing (191 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs)

Cost: $5 per person; free for children under 5

9:55 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: Call to post

10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Scavenger hunt

11:00 a.m. to noon: Post-scavenger hunt activities
