High-flying feats

The staid stage of the Egg Center for the Performing Arts in Albany becomes a circus on Sunday, Nov. 26 when one of the best acrobatic troupes in China presents a fast-moving spectacle featuring a company of more than 100 performers who dazzle with magic, acrobatic stunts, feats of balance, juggling acts, contortion tricks and martial arts. Accompanied by traditional Chinese music, the award-winning Martial Artists and Acrobats of Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, appears for a family-friendly matinee at 3 p.m. Formed in 1957, but with a legacy stretching back thousands of years, the troupe thrills audiences with impressive gymnastic feats, towering human pyramids, precise Kung Fu maneuvers and more. Tickets are $28 for adults and $14 for children. For more information, call (518) 473-1845 or visit theegg.org. Also at the Egg this fall: Stephen Stills and Judy Collins on Oct. 8; Loudon Wainwright III with Suzzy Roche on Oct. 28; Cowboy Junkies on Nov. 4; King Crimson on Nov. 8 and 9; and David Crosby and Friends on Nov. 17.
