Happy Halloween From the Saratoga Living Staff

Check out these views of Yaddo in Saratoga – are there ghosts living there, as well as artists?

See the spirits captured by Lawrence's lens under the pergola in the Yaddo rose garden.

Edgar Allan Poe was inspired to write "The Raven" while sitting by the lake at Barhyte's Tavern, now the site of Yaddo, out Union Avenue. When Poe repeatedly called out "Nevermore," it scared Baryhyte's son, or so the story goes.

The Batcheller Mansion on Circular Street in Saratoga also is said to have ghosts.

For a spiriting walk, visit Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga, and Turning Point Cemetery in Schuylerville, too.

May the ghosts be with you!
