Take a culinary trip around the globe at the fourth annual Saratoga International Flavorfeast.
Beginning at 11 a.m. on Saturday, pick up a "passport" guide at Fingerpaint, Broadway and Division Street, and then stroll around outdoors until 4 p.m. and sample foods made by more than two dozen area restaurants.
Each sample costs $1.
The international snacks will be inspired by the cuisine of Spain, Mexico, Israel, Ireland, Thailand, Turkey, Peru, India, Japan, China, Korea, Vietnam, Brazil, France, Belgium and America.
There will be crepes and pommes frites at Ravenous, frikadellen (German meatballs) at the Parkside Eatery, shepherd’s pie at The Parting Glass and pad thai at Sushi Thai.
In addition to the downtown restaurant stops, restaurants that aren’t downtown, like Morton’s The Steakhouse and Alaturco Mediterranean Grill, will set up in the Saratoga Downtowner parking lot at the corner of Broadway and Division.
Live entertainment by street performers, musicians and dancers is scheduled, including Irish fiddling and African drumming. Irish, Greek and Latin dances will be performed in The Parting Glass parking lot.
