The Nutcracker, hip hop, Irish step and more Holiday traditions

• Carol of the King is an Irish Dance Christmas Spectacular led by Justin Boros, formerly of Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, with 20 dancers and musicians. • Moscow National Ballet brings its fantastical production of The Nutcracker to Albany as part of its 25th anniversary North American tour. Lavish Victorian costumes dress the 40 dancers, as well as local ballet students. Among the visuals are a Christmas tree that grows 50 feet tall and birds that flap their wings. • Northeast Ballet, the resident ballet company at Proctors, under director/choreographer Darlene Myers, celebrates its 27th season with its annual production of The Nutcracker.
