You can’t buy love but you can find it handmade at the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival.
The Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival, formerly the Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival, is now in its 10th year. Featuring artisans and craftsmen from throughout the region and New England, the festival offers a unique collection of handmade arts and crafts for its visitors. Whether you are a “do-it-yourselfer” looking for a one of a kind yarn or pattern, or you prefer to find finished products, the Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival provides a unique event for you to enjoy. The festival will take place on September 23rd and 24th 2017, at the Washington County Fairgrounds on Route 29 in Greenwich/Easton.
The festival continues to offer education on the products produced in fiber arts, raw fleece, roving, spinning supplies, needle felting, dyes, yarns, and items needed to knit, crochet, and weave.
The change to the title of the festival was made to represent the additional artisans that the festival is host to. Pottery, body care products, jewelry, specialty food items, craft beverage producers, paper crafts, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood arts, and more have been added to the festival.
The Washington County Fair is pleased to host this event, and in doing so, support local farms that produce fiber, and also our regional artists and craftspeople.
There will be FREE pumpkin decorating and activities for kids each day of the festival. On Sunday, there is a craft beverage event with live entertainment, a Romney Sheep Show, and a used fiber arts equipment auction.
The Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival is a great chance to get a jump start on your holiday shopping. Unique, one-of-a-kind gifts, made by regional artisans.
